An independent project, not an agency.
VisaFile exists because the average Schengen applicant from India reads six blogs, two forums and one outdated PDF, and still walks into VFS with an incomplete file. This site does one thing: tell you exactly what goes in the file, with the official source next to every claim.
Who runs this
VisaFile is built and maintained by Amar Chaudhari, an independent builder based in India. It is a one-person project: every checklist on this site is compiled by hand from the official consulate and VFS/BLS pages, and re-checked before the verified date printed on it.
I am not a visa agent, an immigration lawyer, or affiliated with any consulate. That's deliberate. Agencies earn from your anxiety; this site earns nothing from your application, so it has no reason to exaggerate requirements or sell you services you don't need.
How a page gets published
1 · Compiled from official sources only
Every requirement starts from the consulate's own checklist or the VFS/BLS page for that route, never from another blog. The source link sits next to the requirement so you can verify it yourself in one click.
2 · Verified, with the date printed
Before publishing, each page is re-checked line by line against its sources, and the last-verified date is printed on the page. Pages are re-verified monthly, and immediately when a traveller reports a change.
3 · Corrected by travellers
If VFS asked you for something not on our checklist, or rejected something we said was fine, tell us. Traveller reports from real appointments are the fastest correction signal we have, and they keep every checklist honest.
